Hello and Welcome all John Jay Students!

Life as a first generation college student can be hectic, I have been able to overcome some obstacles, with the love and encouragement from my family.  College itself is difficult but one thing I have learned is that college is a place where you can bend it to make it a second home and discover yourself.  Here in this space, I will be blogging from about different things that I find interesting or fun.  I hope you find yourself enjoying the information as much as I do.  Even if you do not attend John Jay College, I imagine that your college has events, clubs, opportunities, and jobs available, that are similar to those I write about.

I like to write about activities in John Jay as well as my experiences in college. There are many events that are around New York city which I like to inform people of during the summer and other seasons as well.  There is never enough to see in the city that never sleeps and since we attend and work at John Jay, which is in the center of the Big Apple, there is no limit to what we can see and do.

I want to make this blog as helpful as possible because it is in my nature to help.   There is no limit to questions you may ask, help you need or stories you can share, so please feel free to seek out those answers!

If you have any questions, suggestions on any blogs you wish to read about or anything in general, contact me at Katherine.castaneda@jjay.cuny.edu

Happy Reading!
